Fourth showdown between CSKA and SKA, five games today

Interestingly, the teams haven’t met yet this season, and their last encounter in Vladivostok dates back to Dec. 30, 2023. In that match, Neftekhimik claimed a 5:2 victory, and overall, the Wolves hold the edge in the head-to-head series with a 17-11 record. But can they win now, with everything on the line? In the Western Conference, Severstal will host Lokomotiv with the home club trying to not lose too much ground from Dinamo Minsk as the team lost its previous couple of matches. However, the Railwaymen, who are still leading the league, defeated Severstal twice earlier in the season.
Then, Moscow will host the fourth meeting between CSKA and SKA this season. The previous games were thrilling and high-scoring. On the first game day of 2025, SKA came out on top once again with a 6:3 win, with Ivan Demidov scoring twice. There’s a good chance that this upcoming clash will also feature plenty of goals.
A showdown between HC Sochi and Avangard closes out an exciting KHL Tuesday. The Hawks will be seeking a ninth consecutive win, while the Black Sea franchise will try to return to victory after three straight losses.
